Here are the instructions on how to properly and safely remove your MPx player from Windows. Incorrectly removing your MP3/MP4 player without firstly following these instructions maybe result in problems.

Make sure you close all Explorer windows and that you are no longer accessing the removable drive of your MPx player before following these instructions.

1. Go down the bottom right of your screen where the clock is and double click on the "Unplug or Eject Hardware" icon.

Click the image to open in full size.

2. Select "USB Mass Storage Device" from the hardware devices list and press the [Stop] button.

Click the image to open in full size.

3. Select "Generic volume" from the list and press the [OK] button.

Click the image to open in full size.

4. If successful, you will get the following message and the "unplug/remove hardware" icon on the bottom right of your screen will also disappear.

Click the image to open in full size.

Click the image to open in full size.

5. If you are unsuccessful, you can try selecting the "USB 2.0 (FS) FLASH DISK USB Device" or the "USB Mass Storage Device" items instead in Step #3 above and then press the [OK] button.

Never just pull the USB cable straight out of your MPx player while it's connected to your computer. You might risk corrupting files, corrupting the flash memory or stuffing up Windows ability to detect your player next time.

Hope this helps.
