Do you have the correct codecs installed on your computer? I know .WMV requires codecs for it to play and convert properly. Try installing the "SLD Codec Pack 2.2" from our site
here.
Install that and then reconvert and see what happens.
If that doesn't work, then try converting an .AVI file instead and see if that works?
