Default Re: Sound Equalization distortion

Hi,
here the replies for Admin and Iridium.

1) I've tried with four different kind of earphones (from the "indecent" type in bundle with the player to the Sony MDR-82 type). The distortion with EQ it's present in any phones.

2) The MP3 files loaded in the player sounds perfectly in my Waitec Havin MP3 player, in my Ipaq PocketPc and in my PCs (with Mediaplayer,Wavelab and other programs).

3) The EQ distortion appear even with MP3 present in this site.

4) I've tried to convert the MP3s down to 128kbps rate; no better results!

My considerations:
a) The problem it's inside the player! I think that may be a wrong firmware programmation of the EQ DSP.
I want to remind you that if I let the EQ setting to Natural, no distortion occours at all!
b) The EQ distortion it's most noticeable at DBB setting.
c) The EQ distortion it's greater on the low frequencies. Try to listen to a song with evident Acoustic Bass (Double bass) sound first with Natural EQ setting. After try to put EQ to DBB setting.
If you don't listen to an evident distorted sound probably my player it's fault (or you haven't a well "calibrated" couple of ears ... ).

Ciao
