Hey nice walkthrough fizzle05, about the same process I follow, but I use Apollo DVD backup pro set to 4:3 pan\scan which extracts the DVD straight to AVI format cropped with no black areas top and bottom, then just run through AMV Converter at 128x96 all settings high focus mode0. All up generally takes about an hour.
