Gil I have looked at both these files and I would say that CDT sd4284-h_v2.0_7-FM.fw is most definatly not suited to your player it is for a much smaller non LCD player so forget this one.
If windows is no longer recognizing your player you are going to have to open you player and short you chip to reset it.
Here is a walkthrough written by someone with the same chip as you of how they recovered their player
