I have mine formatted on FAT32 and it is running fine. It's one of the fake 4GB ones though so the firmware is a bit funky.

If you have 2GB or less i would recommend just sticking with FAT

If you right click on 'My Computer' -> Manage -> Disk Management, you can see what the caper is with all your drives.
