Aiken, On some players you need to make sure the clock is set. Also in LCD settings there are 2 settings one darkle and one black on my player I have to set and accept both options in order to get the LCD sleep function to work properly.

I'm most worried about why when i hold the play button and the player goes off, the screen continues lighted until i manually move the on/off switch to off
