Since the DISK FULL problem happens when using AMV Convertor then the new software will not help.
I suspect that the problem is a full C: drive caused by temporary and cached files. Even though you don't install your programs on C:, many programs, including your internet browser(s) still store temporary files on C:
Try this: first clear cached and temporary files from your web browser(s). Even if you don't use it often, open MS Internet Explorer, click on TOOLS-->Internet Options-->General-->Delete Files and click OK. Then, if you have the Firefox web browser, open it, click on Tools-->Options-->Privacy-->Cache-->Clear Cache Now and click OK.
Next, close your web browser(s). For Windows 2000, click Start-->Programs-->Accessories-->System Tools-->Disk Cleanup Choose C: and click OK. Your may also want to "defragment" C: There may be more you can do to cleanup in Windows 2000 but I haven't used it in a while.
After all that is done, see how much space you have on C: If it is not at least the higher of 400MB or double the size of your AVI file, you will still likely have problems.
If you have at least 400MB (or double AVI) on C:, try AMV Converter again.
UPDATE:
[color=blue]For Windows 2000, I'd probably just download some freeware cleanup software and run that first before running AMV Converter on your PC. Maybe someone else can recommend a good cleanup tools for Windows 2000.
