Firstly, go to our "Downloads" section. It's on the left hand side menu bar. When you're there, go to the "Tools" section.
There will be a tool call "7-Zip". Download that and that can be used to extract .rar files.
With regards to how to put firmware onto your player, head over to our Knowledge Base section on the left hand side menu bar as well. There is a Knowledge Base called "How to: Update the firmware for your MP3/MP4 player".
WARNING: Do not just 'update' the firmware on your player in the hope to unleash any 'new' features or addons. It WON'T do that. Only do it as a last resort. If you want to change the theme and reskin your player, you can do it using the s1rest tool and there is also a Knowledge Base for that too.
Updating the WRONG firmware on your player will cause your player to be 'dead' and you will have to spend a lot of time trying to recover it.
