i don't have any problems using s1fwx ...
s1fwx firmware dumps arent usefull when you've killed your player . when your player doesnt start anymore, how do you want to upgrade your firmware?? the only possibility is making a short circuit

to let the player start in the adfu mode(adfu.ap ; located in the BREC) . in this mode, you cant load s1fwx firmware dumps so these dumps arent useful !! s1fwx doesnt extract the whole firmware - only some parts!
if you've really KILLEd your player, you cant use these dumps
