You can change the DEFAULT language to ENGLISH by using
Firmware modifier, which can be downloaded from
here.
It can be used to modify:
* Default Language
* Contrast
* Device details of the firmware.
I strongly suggest you create a backup of your existing firmware firstly before using this. DON'T change the "FM Select" section as it might wipe out "Games" feature in your player.
If you use this and open your existing firmware, you can set the default language to "English" instead. From then on, it should always default to English.
