For me,
1.8 much better for video watching.
3.5.37 not much difference to the others but a little quicker.
Sigmatel provide better quality sound but are incompatible to the s1mp3 tools. To the best of my kowledge the firmware cannot be themed due to the lack of tools to do it. Thay also use SMV (Sigmatel Motion Video) format which does not offer such a good compression ratio and therefore files are larger.
3.2 Lithium Polymer Battery, good life span quick recharge more powerful for it's size than others.
FM may as well have it if you can get it.
TFT Brighter crisper image quality.
Not mentioned but 2GB Samsung Chip.
