Default SUGGESTION | always include board & player info w/ firmw

hi folks,

don't know if this is the right place to post this, but...

i am seeing lots of interesting posts on new firmware versions which promise desireable functionality (e.g. file browsing).

although terribly tempted to download and try, i am afraid to do so because i don't know what device the firmware came from.

i suggest posting the following additional info (in addition to version number) when posting firmware:
  • which improvements the version brings (what it fixed)
  • what it broke (i.e. a particular function is now gone)
  • source (where it came from: your player, the internet, etc)
  • if known, the board number, capacity, screen size and make of the player the firmware came from
  • if not from your player, which player you successfully tried it on
thoughts?

BINH: if this should go to another section of the forum, please move it. thanks!
