Default strange fact

As may few of you know but there is a potential drawback regarding converting mp3 files to wma.
battery life!
apparently running wma files on yer players, may cause the mp3/4 player's cpu to work harder (alas more cpu cycles/sec) so you might actally wind up shortening the battery life up to 15-20% in some cases. meaning you will have to recharge the batteries more often.
so by saving memory space actually could cost you more power.
the reason for this is lying in the codec itself (as wma is) apparently not as efficient decoding as mp3 and not readily being supported by players. no hardware decoder on the atj for example for wma. using emulation built into the actual bin file.
for flamers--> this is not my idea! it's actually tests were done to prove this since micro$haft did not really care about the efficiency much.
as I've read it , thats the reason why the newer windows mediaplayers with the updated libraries having problem running properly on older machines.
now you can go ahead and call me anything, but don't call me late for dinner :P lol
