i downloaded the same firmware and extracted the file, same problem, the computer kept saying the file is not recognized, my windows edition is windows xp 2000 home edition and i downloaded it from your website and extracted it straight away, from there it did not recognize it, the reason for doing this is because my 2gb ipod clone is switching of and restarting after between 11 and 16 songs. my dad thinks this is because i deleted the files that came with the ipod which were to songs, a movie and a couple of pictures, i spoke to someone today who told me they were hidden files i had deleted, ive formated it to fat 32 (nothing) and done a disk check (nothing) do you know of anything else i can do or download to get my ipod working, please help because i just wanna get listening, thanks, dixie
