maceman, It sounds like you are using version 4.00 or 4.03, you can unlock the small screen settings by going to the AMVConverter folder, open AmvTransform.ini in notepad and change CHIPTYPE=1 to CHIPTYPE=0
The low sound could be a codec problem during conversion, installing the K-Lite Mega Codec pack may help
