maceman,
I have never seen anything that would lead me to believe that 4G players actually exist. For a start to the best of my knowledge the ATJ2085 chipset that powers these players can only support a maximum of 2GB Nand Flash memory. I would suspect that if they were possible they would use 2x2GB as the Ipod Nano does rather than a single far more expensive 4GB chip and I have never seen or heard of anyone having a dual chip chiPod. They would also be significantly more expensive than the 2GB player but do not seem to be. Unfortunatly formating the player does not always fix the problem. The only way to know for sure is to check the chips serial number against it's manufacturers specifications.

Interestingly enough on the local auction site here in New Zealand called Trademe which is only available to local and Australian traders I have only seen 2 traders trying to sell them. The first one strangely pulled his product after Binh and I asked him some pointed questions and mentioned the word fake, the second I only came across yesterday and am waiting to see how he responds to my comments.
