Open it up and post the board id and memory type, photos can't hurt either.
I've got two different 1.5 clone samples from two different manufactures in China, both use completely different hardware. From my experience there are probably several hundred different varations.
But I bet we can get yours working if you get more details...

Where exactly can I find the board ID and memory type please? Sorry for the horrible noob questions, but I've got a coupe of piccies if that helps? They're not very high res as they've been taken using my phone...
If it's any help, I have a Samsung 631 K9WAG08UIA PCB0 chip with a ATJ2085w chip and the serial number on the back of the screen is 860918034992. I've also found what I believe
could be the board number which is FPC-VP6619-02A_56...
