The manufacturer's battery are not that lasting as it seems. My 260mAh "Li-ion", at least that's what the battery cover claims, only lasts about 3 or 4hrs max.
And it gets totally drained flat from a full charge in about 1.5days without even turning it on.
Not sure if the change in firmware would improve the battery life, but so far seems like no one here has suceeded in improving the battery life with a firmware change.
