newray, you can use the Disk Tool program which is part of the MP3 Utilities CD that came with your player or the program can be downloaded at http://www.mympxplayer.org/dload.php...le&file_id=327 .

Alternatively, you can use the HP Format Tool which can be downloaded at http://www.mympxplayer.org/dload.php...le&file_id=127 .

You can format using Windows Format, but most of the time, hacked memory chips can't be fully formatted using the Windows Format.

By formatting with either of the 3 methods mentioned, you won't lose any firmware data in your player, your player will still start up as normal. You will only lose data like mp3s, movie files, etc. You need to backup all these file before you format.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

T39 doesn''t sound as good as my T29
