Did you do anything to your player prior? Or did it just happen out of the blue/all of a sudden?
VL is a Visual Land product right?
What is the warranty status of your player?
If you haven't done anything to your player (like dump an incompatible firmware on it), then try to get it sorted under warranty if you can. That's my best suggestion.
Like tadad mentioned, it does sound like a faulty hardware more.
