I think you did a good think posting negative feedback and link on his feedback. If we can stop others falling into the same trap, that would be a start.
What size did you end up with in the end?
When people advertise "USB 2.0", there are actually TWO different versions.
Here is a summary:
"Full Speed USB is only 12Mbits/second where Hi-Speed USB mode is capable of a much faster 480Mbits/second."
