ZiggyFlavel, Your player should not be getting hot. Does this happen when you use it or when you charge it?
If it is getting hot and you are having battery problems you may have a faulty connection which is draining your battery. This could also be causing your player to get hot.
If this is so this could definatly be shortening the life of your battery and your player. I suggest you inspect the point where the battery is soldered to the mainboard and make sure it is a clean join and the solder from the black and red wires is not merging. If need be take a small sharp object and gently scape away any solder so that the 2 joins are completely separated.
