sratra, You need to disable driver signing, right click on My Computer and select Properties, Hardware Tab, Driver Signing and make sure it is set to Ignore

Click the image to open in full size.

If your player is showing 2 drives you need to go to the settings menu in the player and select On-line Mode and make sure it is set to Normal Only.

Your player is restarting because it has a hacked memory chip. These players do not come in 4GB and 8GB they will only support a maximum of 2GB memory.
You need to format the player to remove the hack that is causing it to read as a larger chip size and corrupt your files.
If you look through the forums you will find many posts related to this problem.

to find the true size of your memory check the serial number of the chip against this list
