Bronco , is your player currently working? If it is, it would be adviseable not to change your firmware as it won't give you any additional functions, and more likely to kill your player.
If your player is dead, can the player be detected by the MP3 Utilities Upgrade Tool? If so, you need to try random firmwares in the Downloads section until you get the compatible one
