Idanbolig, You have a freaky version of Windows XP, I have never seen the start button on the right side before.
Anyway try downloading the Product tool from here,

It works a little differently you need to press button 1 to setup the firmware you want to load. Button 2 will load the firmware. If button 3 becomes active use it to format your flash disc and then update. After you have used the Product tool you will need to format your player. I suggest you use it to load 1 full version firmware and then try loading regular backup dumps. There is no point to loading full firmware again and again. You only need to load full firmware if your player is in recovery state.
