rbhale, There are 100's of firmware variations now and it is not possible to suggest any suitable firmware that will recover your player. The chips you mention are quite common, it is more the mainboard and LCD that are the problems. I can only suggest that if you have tried all the firmware in the download section you keep a watch for any new firmware uploads.
