bdcruz, The disk shrunk because you have a hacked player. 2GB is the most memory these players can support at present. 4GB and 8GB versions have a smaller chip that is hacked to read as much larger than their true size. In your case I would say your chips true size is 128MB. This is why your player crashed in the first place because you were loading files to memory that did not really exist which eventually corrupts the file system and crashes the player.

There is no way to get the lost space back as it did not really exist. If you want to confirm your chip size you will need to open your player and check the serial number on the memory chip agaist this list of Samsung and Hynix chips.
