Pissy, This can sometimes be caused by a poor connection in one of your memory chip pins. Try cutting pieces of thin card about the same size as your memory chip and place 3 or 4 layers on top of the chip then replace the backing of the player. The idea is that you want enough card thickness so that with the player closed the casing places an even pressure down on the memory chip. then try uploading your dump again.
