The idea is to not turn on/off your player using the [on/off] switch. As the players dont' have an internal CMOS battery to keep the clock settings, you will loose the clock setting if you use the [on/off] switch.

My best suggestion for you to turn on/off your player is to press and hold down the [play/pause] button for a few seconds to turn it on/off. this method will keep your clock settings intact.
