Default Re: CANT TURN MY MP4 PLAYER ON

What kind of player? Do you know the model or have a picture?

I've seen this with some of mine. As far as I can tell the battery is in such a low state of charge that wall charger and/or usb connection can't get it started. At first I thought it was a bad battery, but then I started to notice some others as well.

I'm still trying to find the exact cause, but I have noticed some interesting observations during testing.

1> Some players just do not like to take a charge when connected to the wall charger or usb if the player is left in the usb connect screen. Try and press the M button to take it into one of the application screens, like music or movies and let it charge from in there for a while.

2> I don't think some of these wall adapters are putting out enough amps. I've verified this by plugging in players that wouldn't take ANY charge at all to the charger of my Motorola Razr phone, which outputs 800mAh. After 5 or 10 minutes on the razr charger, the wall adapter and the usb charged fine.

Try these and let us know what you find out. Don't assume a bad battery just yet.

Later,

Erik
