Default Improving the sound/video of MP4 players.

I was reading the recent post about OGG files, and how to improve the sound of your MP3/MP4 player with these more advanced formats like OGG and FLAC. I don't actually have an MP4 player yet (its on its way), but it made me think about how fantastic the sound of my cheap mp3 player is with regular mp3's! And this despite the fact that its made by Diamond (not to be confused with "Diamond Multimedia" that makes the Rio, but the 1GB no-name Diamond players that sell at Wal-Mart!). And using the stock earphones that come with it!

I wanted to say, the reason for this is not because the Diamond is such a fantastic sounding MP3 player (it normally sounds about as cheap as it looks), but because of a very unusual product I received yesterday from a Canadian Ebay seller. He was selling this recently on eBay, as a way of improving the sound and video of MP3/MP4 players. The price was less than $3 bucks and he offers a no-questions money-back guarantee, so I said what the hey! He doesn't tell you what it is exactly in the ad and you can't tell by the photo, but it turns out what I bought are 1 dozen tiny, tiny, tiny, teeny, tiny, weeny little dots on a paper (I'm not kidding, you have to use a magnifiying glass to see them!). You cut around it, and then you apply several of these to specific areas on the player itself with just scotch tape. I know it sounds stupid, and I thought it was a joke, until I heard my player after applicating these things! Even my wife, who has a fear of all things electronic, said she could clearly hear that the sound had improved quite a bit! Oh and by the way, I did try cutting little squares of regular paper to see what was up, and it did nothing!

The seller tells me it improves video in the same way it improves audio, so I can't wait to see if it improves the output of the LCD screen when I receive my MP4 player! I have no idea how it works, I just know for certain that it _does_ work! (and that he will refund if it doesn't). He wrote something in the instructions about it being based on quantum physics, which I have absolutely ZERO understanding of...

This is the ad, if you don't believe me!:

I really dig good quality sound & video, especially on my portables since they are inherently limited in those areas. So if anyone has found ways to improve the sound quality of their mp3/mp4 player (I mean besides the obvious headphone or player upgrades!), please let me know!
