I emailed him, he says you can put it almost anywhere and it will work, but there are specific areas on any object where the sound will truly improve (as opposed to just "changing"), because that's where quantum energy collects on the object (somthing like that!). On the outside of an MP4 player, those are usually in the center of edges (that would be rear and front of player), the center of the edge of the LCD screen, next to the headphone jack, and he says its particularly effective on the battery (my player uses AAA's so this was easy!). On most MP4 players you'd have to open up the player to install one of the squares on the battery, but the seller says you can -really- improve the sound of an MP4 player if you open up the player and start applying the squares to the battery, the circuit board, the inside casing, etc. etc.
The guy says in his eBay ad that you don't even have to return the squares if you don't hear a difference, he'll refund your money if you don't hear an improvement. Well let me tell you, after playing around with these things to where I am totally convinced they have improved my sound, I'm not asking for a refund, this is the best 3 bucks I ever spent! In fact, I'm gonna live with it for a while and if I find the improvement sustains, I'm ordering more for my upcoming Nano clone and the 2GB MP3 player I won on Ebay recently! (I bought it around the same time of the Nano clone even though they both play mp3's, just to see if one would sound better than other on mp3!).
