Blown-Z,
Thank you for your refund this morning. It was greatly appericated. The Pink MP3 player was for my girlfriend and after discovering what I discovered I had to run out and buy a real iPod for her. 512MB won't cut it for a techie geek girl (HOT!)
Anyways, I understand you too did not know the players were hacked, that's the fault of the Chinese programmers. However, I did disagree with how you tried to "educate" me on how GB/Gb works. To this date, no one has ever sold an MP3 player in Gigabits.
Infact, the only company ever to operate in "Bits" was Nintendo. Remember the Nintendo 64 and how the games were advertised in Megabits while Sony said "We can stuff 700 MegaBYTES" into a game disc for our Playstation. Yup.
The first MP3 player I ever owned was the first MP3 player to ever exist -- the Diamond Rio PMP300. It had 32 Megabytes of memory. Diamond could've said it provided 256 Megabits of memory, but they did not.
My best advice to you is to unhack all the players and sell them for what they actually are. People will still buy them because they're great little iPod clones, you have nothing to fear. I bet you got these players for <$20US anyways, so it's not like you have anything to lose, especially when shipping is around ~$12 and it actually costs you $4-6 if you're actually in the United States, as you claim you are.
I hope you have a Merry Christmas and an excellent holiday and I hope this generous, giving, spiritius time of the year offers you a moment to reflect on your business practices and how many children/friends/mom/dad/girlfriends/boyfriends/wifes/husbands/grandparents will feel when they try to load 2GB of music on their "2Gb" player and it doesn't work.
Just imagine all the people that will be hurt.
Also, I wanted to point out that you are at least clever with your titles. You said "2Gb Mp3 Mp4", that's clever because the "uninformed" buyer might think you're a person who doesn't capitalize words in succession and therefor would assume that the player was infact two gigabytes. Sneaky, sneaky.
