myMPxplayer.org could just mass email a press release to all the news services as a start. Plus it would give some free advertising to the site if the news service(s) became interested.
The biggest catch is to email all services (AP, Reuter, MSNBC, etc) and the large state papers in all 50 states plus the TV stations.
Takes a lot of work for a national press release and tons of press email addresses, but it's free.
Just a thought
By the way, I'll be in DC next week talking to my state's newly elected congressmen. I'll bring the issue up.
