xplorer101 , i would seriously suggest a format on your player. Regarding the 1946.84MB rather than 2GB, it is standard industry practice. The memory industries markets their memory products as 2GB, but in actual fact 1024kB = 1MB. Every manufacturer does the same.
So 1946.84MB*1.024 = 1.99GB

It does not delete any operating/firmware files as these files are stored in the processor chip ROM, and the format only clears the memory chip alone.

And regarding the firmware extraction, the S1fwx tool currently does not support your firmware version as yet. And never upgrade or update with someone else's firmware. It'll kill your player and is very difficult to recover.
