My suggestion, after opening 4 A/V players, is too start connecting the dots with firmware.
What I mean is that we connect the firmware downloads with version, screen size and board ID numbers (meaning open them up). Maybe include the actual chip used (not the memory chip).
The firmware sections somehow need to be standardize in some way.
The 2 I have examine are 1.5 screens and have the same firmware version, but different board IDs. I think this why some people are having problems resurrecting their players. I haven't attempted to swap the firmware yet until I examine them some more. On the outside they are identical, inside layout is different.
