Default Re: Let's be the solution and NOT the problem~~~

I haven't been ripped off (yet) but know of many who have. (Indeed, I am receiving emails from them, having written a guide on eBay on this problem of the MP4 Scam). I think you have a GREAT attitude and people like you have a GREAT chance of turning the tide and forcing attention on eBay's role in helping to perpetrate FRAUD on the American (and global) public, by being bedfellows with the Chinese scammers (doing little to nothing to stop them from selling hacked 4GB+ MP4 & Nano clones).

You could create a website with all the proof found on this one (with mods permission to use the photos and text here), and then refer peopel to your website for ample proof. (And dont forget to link to my guide on your website which sheds further light on the eBay specific problem that is occurring!). Yahoo will supply you a free website.

I have a bright idea so work with me on this one. I see alot of people up in arms about mp4 generic players. I also have received one email and one snail mail about joining class-action suits (one with eBay and one with Microsoft). I was thinking  that what we need is a lawyer or law firm that is good at class-action suits. Raise your hand if you know of one OR are one that can help...........I believe I see a few hands up. AWESOME! Now I would not only do a class action but I smell a fantastic John Stossel scam report! After calculating the amount of mp4 players sold conservatively we are dealing with say one sold every five seconds at $50 a piece for one year is $788,400,000.00 USD That's right over 788 MILLION dollars a year and trust me it is probably much more. I only looked at the famous 4GB players for this equation. I also know that most went for over $50 USD. With that much money changing hands I KNOW that someone will want to "cover" this story! We need to hit the sellers where it hurts and that is their wallet.

I want to email every newstation (i.e. FoxNews, MSNBC, CNN), news show (i.e. dateline, 20/20) I know this can happen as I have had alot of experience of bucking the system. I was featured in a NY times article about selling order forms for GS Cookies on eBay. I live in the middle of nowhere, northern Wisconsin and got the attention of the entire country! Carrie Nelson's GS Cookie Article

So what do you say we start the ball rolling. I know that the media would love this story after all that I have seen. I have the time to spend doing this (being disabled and home all the time). I have been working, building, troubleshooting, tutoring, updating and around PCs for over 20 years. I have been online for over 11 years and with eBay for 5+ years. I can set up a website and I think that if we all get together we can start really rocking the boat out there in cyberland. The wonderful people we voted for in Washington can also be used for good intervention on this huge problem. Do NOT underestimate our power! :x

So big question is: Are We Sick Of It and Do We Want To Be Instrumental in Stopping This Reign of Selling JUNK :!: :!: :!:  :?: :?: ARE YOU READY :?: :?:
If you want to help, suggest an idea, or just to tell me what your opinion on this idea. I would also look forward to hearing about your auction that was won and bought and now you are stuck with a hacked player stories. What I would like is to have a website of these so any of the "media" can look for themselves how we feel. I can also compile them in an email we can send to all that can help. Just email me at: ldsmom@cheqnet.net.
P.S. I had to change the amount of money received for the sales of mp4 4GB players since I had a faulty equation. ops:
