Take, for example, the PSP2TV. This device uses the signals going to the PSP's LCD screen and converts them to be displayed on the TV.
The same principle could be applied to any MPx player (or anything using an LCD screen for that matter). However, it would require in-depth knowledge of video signals, electronics and additional hardware & connectors to your MPx player.
