hellbound, its true that hacked player shows a lot of problems. But if you are careful, and prepared to get annoyed you can use the full HACKED 8GB.
I have a hacked 2GB player with 512MB flash memory. Its hell a lot annoying to keep 2GB songs on this player and make all of them play as most of the time player would restart.
Even when you will copy back files from player to hard drive, they wont work, so not a good pen drive too.
In order to get the best out of your 8GB you need to keep a check on what data you are pushing on your player, and is it getting copied properly.
For playing videos, check on with MP3 Player Utilities 3.68, with small screen size, (128x96). I hope then you must be able to play AVM files.
And yeah, don't get ripped off... Think before you buy.
