wasn't 4gb. The person who sold you the player just wanted to make it look like it so he hacked the chip to make it seem like there was more memory than there really was. You did the right thing when you revealed the true size. Tell your dad that what we're saying is true and that it's not your fault. But you won't be able to get it back to 4gb because the 4 gigabytes were never there.
