Bingo! Now we need to know if the usb controller is in the rockchip itself (firmware could fix it if it is capable of 2.0 for real) or in an implemented old version usb controller chip on the player's board.
So what do I do now?

As I understand, I cannot dump the firmware, as the soft for Rockchips is not ready yet.
I am not so keen on opening the player, as I intend to go back to China within half a year, and maybe will try claim it under warranty (that will be an interesting expierence. I don't have to mention that the manufacturers mailbox is dead silent, do I?

Does it mean that for now, all I can do is go and grab a snack everytime i upload something to my player?

Any other suggestions will be more than welcome
