www.uploaded.to and leave a link so I can have a squizz. My initial thought is that some firmware can have double ups of things like startup and menu images. Sometimes when a firmware is updated or modified by the manufacturers new images can be introduced and the coding changed but more oftern than not the old images are left behind. Sloppy programming really. Most firmware will even contain game images for games that are not even included or activated on the player. And sometimes secondary images can exist for different language settings. The long and the short of it you may have updated images that are not used.
Try also loading the firmware again with an earlier version of the update tool say 3.68 or 4.0. My understanding from the illegible Google Chinese translation is that the update tool in 4.09 was updated slightly for the newer chipsets and newer version firmware.
