SlyMan, Loading the firmware from another player to your own is very very risky as the chances that the firmware will be compatible with your player are very slim. While it may take some time to customise and install a theme to suit your players firmware it is no where near as much time you as would need to spend trying to recover your dead player should the upgrade go badly. there is also a chsnce that you may not be able to recover your player at all especial;ly if it is using a firmware version abve 9.0.43.
