Just got it today: bid, won and paypal cleared on 21 jan. No time yet to damp 3.9 GB of music into it and play it back to check, but for sure I've split it apart - well I mean, I've unscrewed it open - to discover the 2x2GB configuration I' ve spoken of in my previous post. To be precise 2 Samsung K9LAG080M chips on board plus, of course, the control chip.

As expected, the player itself is the 1.5 oz of chinese crap you expected, not (much) worse than Apple's nano, btw: it plays decent music, and the FM tuner seems to do a fair job. Other functionalities not yet tested.
