And by the way HUGE thanks! I was about to give up on this. The only kind of player I have is an xm radio to go and a cd player. I am sooo clueless. THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH!!!
You already have Hotel California on your player. What else do you need?! (BTW, I got Hotel California with my UXCell FMP as well, so no, its not a used player!) Well, whatever your problems in getting started, don't worry, you will get up to speed with the help of the folks around here. I will try to do my part...

TO BROWSE FOLDERS: You hit the M (Menu) button just for a second (hit it for 2 seconds or longer, and it will always bring you back to the main menu). When the song is playing, clicking M will give you the play options (repeat, equalizer, etc). You need to PAUSE the song to browse, so hit the play/pause button in the center of the wheel to pause. Now click M and you will see LOCAL FOLDER, DELETE, etc. Move selection with fast fwd/rewind (L/R) buttons on the wheel, to put it on LOCAL FOLDER. Now click M briefly, and it will show you the files in the folder that contains the song that is playing. Put the selection bar on "\", and hit M. That will bring you up one level in the folder tree, and show more folders, if they are available. Once you find the file you want to play, hit M on the file. Only hit the PLAY button (center button on the wheel) when you are in the MUSIC screen.

TRANSFER FILES: Drag and drop is easiest, I find. Go into My Computer, and you will see the driver letter that represents your player (after you've hooked it up via USB cable), open that window (not to full size). Now locate the directory that contains the mp3/wma music files you want to transfer. Select them, drag them over the player window, drop. (You do not have to put it into a folder named "music", but as others have said, there is a limit of 99 files per folder, so you cant put 500 songs in the root directory of your player). Just remember, the player is seen by windows like another hard drive, and it works just like your hard drive, as far as folders and all are concerned.

TO COPY CDs: Start out by transferring music files already on your machine, to get the hang of it. Then use a "ripping" software, ie. Audiograbber, to extract songs from CD to your hard drive, then transfer those files (mp3/wma) to your player. You can not do direct transfers from cd to player.

HINT: The next time Hotel California is playing, press down on the M button a few seconds, it will show you the lyrics while it plays the song.
(For songs that don't have lyrics, this will bring you back to the main menu).
