I got a player on eBay that looks exactly like a black version of the Rhodium. It has the same looking menu as another rockchip player I saw pictured here and it plays AVI (xvid with mp2). Thanks for pointing out the software - I was about to buy the xilisoft thing.

I had got it for my kid and liked it so much I got another for me.

I think that a 224x176 player hits the sweet spot because 320x240 video would take up 2x the space and I don't want to use > 1GB for a 2 hr movie.
