I know I'm not, because I'm basing my iPod owner bashing on -actual fact- (albeit I was generalizing iPod owners as a whole, and not commenting on every individual owner). Some of those actual facts are: many or most iPod owners buy them because they see other people buying them. Stupid monkey see, stupid monkey do. Many will insist on the iPod and only the iPod, even though they know little to nothing about the alternatives, simply because that's what everyone else is buying. The success of Apple's marketing strategies is self-reinforcing, exploiting the phenomenon of social acceptance. It happens in many places that if you're young and do not follow the crowd of mindless sheep, you're not accepted. Young people tend to want to be accepted by others more than they want to discover who the hell they are in the first place.

So the phenomenon of the iPod culture goes far beyond trivial details like how quickly you can find a song. If it were simply about that, the Meizu would outsell the iPod by 100 to 1, instead of the other way around, since it matches or beats the iPod in just about every possible way, including the fact that you can do song browsing whle playing a song. Watch the documentary on Steve Jobs success with marketing the Ipod to have an idea of just how sheep-like people are. The Meizu wont tie you down to shovelling your hard earned dollars in Steve Jobs bank accounts via iTunes, the Apple will. Anyone who allows a large corporation like Apple or MS to control their lives, is going to have to accept being one of these corp's "sheep".
