That can't be right. I don't know about the conversion software that some of the avi players come with, but I know that standard XVID DVD rips are usually around 700mb for a full length movie using MP3 audio. If you keep the AC3 audio, you get about 1.2gigs. With the lower resolution and framerate of these players, I can't see how a full length movie could be over 2gb. If you're looking at viewing tv shows, you can probably get away with 75mb-100mb per 30 minute episode with nice quality.
I'm still waiting on my player to get here (5-10 days, it's been 4, I'm gonna explode! lol) so I don't know specifically how these converters work, but I've done a lot of DVD/(S)VCD encodes and these are all standard file sizes.
