kungfu... Ok, theres numerous tutorials online about how to use iTunes. Beats me why you can't just dump the folders on it and play it from there exactly how you want. Thats why i never bought one.
What you may have to do is import your ripped vinyl mp3s into iTunes library, drag and drop to 'playlists' to create and organise your music/playlists in it (create 1992 and 1993 playlists and then the songs for each year) and then upload it to your player. You should be able to make your own 'ID3 tags' within iTunes so it creates all the neccessary folders, names, track numbers and titles on your iPod

Is there an iTunes expert in the house? lol
